Interactive

From K–5 math games to whiteboard-ready classroom tools, this work spans interactive design for learning where visual clarity, playful feedback, and thoughtful UX come together to help students engage, understand, and build confidence. (Video mockups shown; sound effects and voiceovers redacted.)

PV Treasure

MIND Education – ST Math Puzzle Game (2025)

A pirate-treasure puzzle game teaching K–5 students place value through addition and subtraction with coins and jewels representing different place values. Part of the ST Math supplemental program, the game leans on visual problem-solving and spatial-temporal reasoning, with clear visual feedback reinforcing conceptual math learning at every step.

My role: I designed the layout, graphics, and UI in Adobe Illustrator and built animated mockups in Adobe Animate. Partnering closely with a learning game designer, I turned low-fidelity concepts into polished, high-fidelity play-throughs and micro-interactions, presenting milestones to stakeholders to gather feedback and secure approval along the way. I also documented detailed visual specs and delivered pixel-perfect assets for engineering handoff.

Addition Hoops

MIND Education – ST Math Puzzle Game (2024)

An arcade-themed puzzle game teaching K–2 students addition through a familiar scenario: shooting hoops at a carnival basketball game to win tickets and a prize. Grounding the math in a real-world scenario helps students see its relevance beyond the worksheet, while formative feedback reveals the why behind each answer, building mental models instead of rote memorization.

My role: I designed the layout, graphics, Otter character, and UI in Adobe Illustrator and built animated mockups in Adobe Animate. I partnered with a learning game designer and led the visual direction for the arcade theme, shaping rough concepts into refined, high-fidelity play-throughs and micro-interactions while presenting progress to stakeholders to gain buy-in and approval. I also put together detailed visual specs and pixel-perfect assets to hand off to engineering.

Counting Challenge

QuaverEd – Pre-K General Curriculum

An interactive screen built for an online Pre-K curriculum, designed for classroom use on an interactive whiteboard or for distance learning on tablets and computers. Students reinforce counting skills by selecting spaces on a game board and counting aloud, racing to be the first to reach the final space — with a celebratory pop-up that builds confidence in their new skill.

My role: I designed the layout and UI in Adobe Illustrator and built an interactive prototype in Adobe XD for stakeholder review. I authored the product’s style guide to keep every screen visually consistent across the design team, and worked alongside teammates who designed the background art and branded characters.

Topic Discussion

QuaverEd – Social and Emotional Learning Curriculum

An animated interactive screen created for an online Social and Emotional Learning curriculum, used by teachers on whiteboards or in distance-learning settings. Through engaging graphics and animation, the screen prompts group discussion and helps students explore what it means to collaborate and build a strong team.

My role: I designed the layout, graphics, and UI in Adobe Illustrator, created an interactive mockup in Adobe XD, and animated in Adobe Animate. The format proved reusable across lessons on different topics, so I turned it into a template for the wider design team and went on to lead our template library, giving designers a single source of truth for how recurring screens should be built and styled.
